You may have heard about mindfulness a lot in pop culture. It may remind you of yoga, or Buddhism, the religion from which mindfulness stems from. Mindfulness is all about self-awareness and self-compassion. Many people who have experienced trauma or difficulties may find it difficult to be kind to themselves, but mindfulness teaches us how to be aware of those self-deprecating thoughts and acknowledge them without trying to change them.
I would recommend mindfulness for people who struggle with themselves; it can help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and more.
